Chinese Paper-Cut Workshops

CA$30.00

Join the Hamilton Chinese Association for a Chinese Paper Cutting Workshop with illustrator and arts facilitator Meegan Lim on Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Town Hall Eatery (581 Concession St, Hamilton, ON).

In this engaging and hands-on workshop, participants will explore the traditional art of Chinese paper cutting, a practice rich in history and symbolism. Guided by Meegan, you'll learn fundamental techniques, patterns, and cultural significance behind this intricate craft. Whether you're a beginner or have experience with paper art, you'll leave with your own beautifully crafted paper-cut designs to take home.

This workshop is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Chinese culture, connect with the community, and develop your creative skills in a welcoming environment.

Please Note: This workshop will be using sharp tools like fine-tip scissors and exacto knives. It is recommended that participants are over the age of 18 to participate fully. Children over the age of 12 may participate using scissors and an exacto knife under the supervision of an adult.

All materials will be provided.
