One Sheet Zine, Maroon on Ivory Paper Risograph
Don't wrong an artist, they'll make art about you.
This comic is based on a very real encounter that unexpectedly became one of the wildest stories of 2024. What started as a stressful situation involving a group of "iPad Kids" eventually transformed into a bizarre, funny, and surprisingly wholesome tale that was too good not to illustrate.
While the experience was frustrating in the moment, time has given me enough distance to laugh about it—and turn it into a comic. This isn't intended to shame the kids involved. They recognized they had made a poor decision, took accountability for their actions, and the situation was resolved with a warning rather than anything more serious. Fair to say someone was grounded for a while.
Inside you'll find a retelling of the events as they unfolded, complete with all the confusion, disbelief, and hindsight humour that comes with living through something you couldn't make up if you tried.
If you've ever thought, "There's no way that actually happened," this comic is for you.
Happy reading, and may your own misadventures someday become good stories too.
